Around The Bench Press

You look around the gym and what is the most popular work station that you will see for the most part?  Well, it is usually the bench press station. This is for good reason too. The bench press is a great exercise, it does produce really good results, and is one of the all time classics, that is for sure.

This is an exercise that you can really develop your upper body with. It hits more area of the chest than any other exercise will ,that is for sure. You can handle alot of weight too, and this will boost our ego.  There is nothing like getting a new best on the bench press. You have to have it in your workout program.

You can do the flat bench press with dumbells, and it is very effective, but I still think that the barbell flat bench press is the best around.  I like to be able to handle the same load with both arms. It is important to be sure that you are doing this exercise with the right form, and doing it in the right range of motion.

I know that, for me personally, I cannot really do the barbell bench press anymore for alot of weight.  This is because I have a bad shoulder, and heavy pressing movements are just not in the books for me right now.  I want to still be able to do high intensity workouts.  This has forced me to find ways around these movements, and this is not an easy thing to do because these are some of the best exercises.
