New Jersey to Offer OTC Needles
There are many places in the United States which require that certain outfits offer clean needle sales to drug addicts so as to reduce the spread of dangerous infections and diseases such as AIDS. And now the state of New Jersey seems poised to join the rest of the country as far as requiring that their pharmacies sell needles over the counter so that they can try and reduce the number of infections that occur. There have been many studies to suggest that providing needles in such a way greatly helps to reduce the spread and transmission of viruses that our spread through the blood.
In many areas of North America it has been a rather controversial move to allow such sales and there have been some states that have not wanted to allow pharmacies to sell hypodermic needles and this has meant some people have had to go to a Canadian pharmacy online to obtain the needles that they need, even if they aren’t using them for illegal drugs. The members of the government in New Jersey suggest that the reason they are making this change is because they believe it will reduce the spread of disease even though needles will be offered to drug addicts.
And interestingly, anyone who comes into a pharmacy for a hypodermic needle will be required to listen to a safety speech which is designed to help them dispose of the needle properly. And by this legislation, the state hopes that they will be able to reduce the amount of infections that occur due to the abuse of drugs in the state.
